The 2026 edition drew more than 60,000 people, and the same format returns this year. Expect 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams across eight days, competing for a US$1.2 million prize fund and valuable WTA ranking points. WTA 500 events sit just below the tour’s biggest WTA 1000 tournaments, so the draw is a serious one, and that keeps the event a fixture on the international tennis calendar.
