Airfares From UAE Are 4 Times Higher Than Normal And Here’s Why!

Airfares from UAE were almost four times what they usually are during the final week of August. This is because popular origins, including India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and Egypt, have seen an unprecedented influx of outbound travellers. During the summer months, many people from other nations return to their home countries for vacations. In addition, the last two weeks of August saw a dramatic rise in arrivals as families prepared for the UAE school year.

What’s the Main Reason For The Increase In The Airfare ?

According to travel brokers, the last week of this month could see an increase in incoming traffic, thanks to the cricket match between India and Pakistan at the next Asian Cup in the UAE. As a result, business travel is also expected to stay high.

Airfare prices fluctuate based on the airline and the route used. However, plane tickets often cost four times as much in the final week of August as they do throughout the rest of the year. Currently, the Indian subcontinent is the most popular and expensive travel destination. Most high-net-worth individuals go to Europe for a month-long holiday and return at the end of the month.

UAE has Seen Very High Passenger Traffic This Year

After two years, the United Arab Emirates saw a significant increase in the number of tourists after Covid. By August, most nonstop flights to the UAE from high-demand origins, including India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, etc., were completely booked.

We got a flood of inquiries during the first week of October. However, it’s also worth noting that the final week of August will see a spike in traffic from the Indian subcontinent as cricket fans go to see India’s match against Pakistan. In addition, business travel is sure to grow with many business partners and workers wanting to attend the cricket match.

On Monday afternoon, the first batch of tickets for the Asian Cup went on sale, and they quickly sold out.
