Dubai’s Jumeirah beach will soon have a grand new entertainment destination. The city already boasts a heart-shaped lake and now Jumeirah will have a full-fledged, heart-shaped entertainment site called the ‘Dubai Heart’. The new weekend spot will feature a climbing wall, a water slide and glass sea passage, as well as restaurants, retail shops and much more.
What’s It?
Dubai Municipality welcomed ideas of a brand new water theme park under the theme Dubai Heart. A group of Nad Al Shiba Engineering Consultants came up with the idea and were awarded the winners. When open, Dubai Heart will consist of two entertainment destinations- Retail and leisure. Docked along the shores, the leisure destination will be in the shape of a wave. The building will be connected to the retail outlets through a record-breaking glass walkway.
There will also be a lot of attractions to enjoy on the beach. The Open Plaza docked on the beach will feature restaurants, amphitheatre, a glass viewing platform, and an artificial surfing bay. Besides, a part of the beach will also be allotted for leisure and sunbathing.
The heart-shaped structure will also feature adrenaline-packed activities including a Cloud Trip- where guests can go on a cloud walk to the future. The place will also have a climbing wall, slide and another viewing platform.
If all goes well, the Heart Dubai will break the Guinness World Records for ‘the world’s largest indoor climbing wall’, ‘the world’s highest water slide’ and ‘the world’s longest glass passage in the sea.’
What Else?
Meanwhile, adventure junkies have yet another place to get your adrenaline rush! A thrilling ‘Drop-in’ ride is the newest addition to Hatta’s list of attractions. Soaring through the air at speeds up to 40 to 80km/h and drop into a head-down into a pool. Sounds like fun? Adventure enthusiasts, you’ve got another one to give it a go.
There are a host of slides to pick from, each with a different level of thrill. While some fly down straight, dropping you into a pool of water, a few others will bounce you across the surface of the water. Dare to take the plunge?
The attraction is open from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. Tickets are priced at AED 75 for 30 minutes. Children above the age of six enter for AED 45.
