When do you order a Subway sandwich? After a busy day or when you don’t feel like cooking, it is your go-to option. But do you know that it is also a way to ‘manao’ your special someone? A few days ago, a Twitter user shared a pic of her partner who surprised her with a Subway. And the sandwich brand in return promised to sponsor their date. And it finally happened!

Subway Sponsored A Date For The Cute Couple

A few days ago, a Twitter user shared how her partner surprised her with a Subway sandwich after an argument. The viral post caught Subway India’s Twitter account’s attention. As a result, they tweeted that they would sponsor the couple’s next date if their post received 1,000 likes. The initial post received more than 6,500 likes in 3 days as a result of Internet users taking it as a challenge.

As promised, Subway India arranged for the couple’s date and posted a sweet photo of the pair holding hands and eating a Subway sandwich and the tweet was captioned as ‘there you go’.

How Did This Start?

This started when the Twitter user shared a pic of her boyfriend apologising to her with a Subway sandwich along with a note that said ‘a Subway for my sub kuch’. In her tweet, she even asked for Subway to sponsor their date. And Subway retweeted this and pledged that they will arrange a date for the couple if they can get 1000 likes.

Netizens took it upon themselves to make this happen! Some Twitter users praised Subway for really keeping its promise, while others referred to it as a smart marketing ploy. Others asked the business to sponsor such dates for them as well.

One user commented in response to the image that now they have to sponsor his next date. He further asked how many likes/RTs would it take for a lifetime supply of Subs for a single person like him.

Another user asked what about single people and suggested that the company can at least sponsor an all-expense paid trip.
