Bangalore’s KSR Railway Station Awarded 5-Star Rating For Hygiene & Food Quality

Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station ( KSR) in Bangalore has been awarded a 5-star rating for its high food quality and hygiene. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)  awarded the railway station ‘Eat Right Station’ certification making this the first railway station in the Bangalore Division of South Western Railway (SWR) to get this recognition. The next time you’re at KSR Railway Station in Bangalore eat to your heart’s content without any hesitations. After all, it isn’t uncommon for passengers to hesitate to dine at railway stations due to hygiene and nutrition concerns. But with the KSR station part of the ‘Eat Right India’ movement, it proves that the station adheres to standard practices of food storage and hygiene as set by FSSAI.

KSR Railway Station Has 40 Eateries

KSR Railway Station has over 40 food establishments including four fast food joints, 16 catering stall, nine milk parlours, a food plaza and three Jan Ahar stalls. From filter coffee, and simple South Indian dishes to chips packets, there’s a lot in store for the hungry. Chief Medical Superintendent Shobha Jaganath revealed to The Hindu that FSSAI audit team awarded the certification to the station on three parameters food quality, waste disposal and hygiene.
