Uttarakhand will start budget-friendly chopper services from 8th February. The state government of Uttarakhand has taken this initiative to encourage connectivity in towns and cities of this state. Captain Deep Srivastava, flight advisor of the Uttarakhand Chief Minister stated that 28 choppers will operate from the state. He informed that few choppers will also run on alternate days. The very first chopper will fly from Haridwar to Haldwani at a cost of ₹1200.

The best part about using a chopper in Uttarakhand is the fact that it cuts down travel time drastically. The entire duration of the trip will be 40 minutes, this is in comparison to the 6 to 8 hours time taken to commute by road or train. People can travel long distances at a lesser time without burning a hole in their pockets. Chopper services in Uttarakhand will be prices at ₹1000 to ₹5000 depending on the distance and time. The objective of starting these chopper services is to boost Regional Connectivity Services services in the state.

So now that you have another good reason to visit Uttarakhand, let’s tell you that the chopper services will commence from 8th February 2020. You can travel by a chopper across all 13 districts, selected cities and towns in Uttarakhand. In the year 2015, the Uttarakhand Tourism Department offered chopper services to people who wanted to witness an ariel view of the hill-station, Nainital and nearby places. But the service didn’t continue for long. But when it comes to the current chopper service to be launched by the state government, there is a lot to look forward to. The new chopper services will be feasible as it anyway takes around ₹1200 to travel by road or train within the state.
