Interestingly, Central Railways, a favourite film shooting destination of Bollywood, earned ₹2.48 crore in the financial year 2021-22.
Central Railway Offers Premises & Railway Coaches For Film Shootings
Despite the dreaded coronavirus pandemic, the Central Railway continued to be a beloved shooting site for Bollywood. The Mumbai-headquartered Central Railway made over ₹2.48 crore in 2021-22 by offering its premises and rail coaches for film shootings. According to a Deccan Herald report, this is the highest revenue earned by Central Railways (CR) in any given financial year. During the financial year, two web series, one short film, an advertisement and six feature films were shot by an array of filmmakers and production houses in different Central Railway locations.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Favourite Railway Shooting Location In Bollywood
This includes a film starring Arshad Warsi and Chitrangada Singh shot at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, CSMT is the most preferred shooting location among the ones offered by the Central Railways.
