A passenger travelling on a Delhi to Hyderabad flight was offloaded for misbehaving with a female cabin crew member. The passenger has been identified as Absar Alam. He was a resident of Jamia Nagar in Delhi and was travelling to Hyderabad with his family.

A complaint was lodged against the passenger by the airline’s security officer Sushant Srivastava on behalf of the cabin crew member. Delhi Man Booked Under Section 354A

During the take-off, the passenger allegedly misbehaved with the cabin crew member. Following this, he was offloaded by the airline security personnel and was arrested. He was booked under section 354A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The arrest was made at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi itself.

This unruly passenger is the latest in line with many other passengers who have harassed females during air travel. In another shocking event, a female passenger on an Air India flight was urinated on by an inebriated male co-passenger. This has many worried about the safety of females during air travel. In another instance, a passenger flying on a separate Air India flight found a stone in her in-flight meal.
