SpiceJet Crew Pose With Dharmendra. Airline’s “Red Hot Girls” Post Slammed By NCW

A recent social media post by India’s budget airline SpiceJet attracted a lot of criticism from the Netizens. Veteran actor Dharmendra was flying on a SpiceJet flight, and he had posed with three air hostesses of the airline. The air hostesses were wearing the airline’s red and black outfits. SpiceJet posted the picture on its Twitter handle with the caption, “Garam-Dharam with our red-hot girls.”

Many people found the caption inappropriate and offensive and slammed the airline. National Commission for Women (NCW) also posted that they are taking action on the same.

SpiceJet Slammed For Its Twitter Caption

As Dharmendra was flying on SpiceJet, the airline tried to get quirky with its caption and relate its signature red attire with the popular song Garam-Dharam starring the actor. But as they called the air hostesses ‘red hot’, the caption did not go well with most Netizens. Commenting on the post, a user wrote that airline doesn’t respect its female employees. Another took a dig on the airline’s social media team, calling them ‘stupid interns’. Some users also tagged NCW and condemned the airline. A user stated, “Is this Indian culture? Making sexiest remark! @flyspicejet this is not done. No doubt, Dharam ji is gr8 actor! Why drag him in unnecessary controversy.. @NCWIndia @SwatiJaiHind.”  NCW responded and said it has considered the matter and added that it has written to SpiceJet’s Chairman to take down the post.

Dharmendra Said That He Had A Lovely Journey

A few users also supported the airline and praised the actor. A user wrote, “Nothing wrong with the tweet @flyspicejet, just the mentality of some folks.” Another said, “Aaj bhi dharam ji ki muskaan utni hi lajawab hai aur aankho me wahi roshni hai…” Replying to the post, Dharmendra posted, “Thanks. lovely journey with these sweet babies. pata hi nehin chala kab udey kab pahunch gaye …”
