In a recent flight incident, a US Marshal was taken into custody for acting disruptively and sexually assaulting a woman. The incident happened on a Delta Airlines flight—here are the details.
US Marshal Was Caught For Sexually Assaulting A Woman on Delta Airlines Flight
After reportedly acting disruptively and sexually assaulting a woman on a Delta Airlines aircraft from JFK Airport to London, a US constable was taken into custody by UK police on Tuesday. Following its Wednesday morning landing at Heathrow, the federal law enforcement officer’s “inappropriate behaviour” while intoxicated disrupted the flight.
According to the Metro Police in London, the 39-year-old constable was taken into custody on suspicion of sexual assault after staff members reported that a passenger had been unruly and had attacked other passengers and crew members in a sexual manner. As the inquiry progresses, the US Marshals Service has stated that it is committed to working with UK law enforcement authorities.
In response to accusations of staff misbehaviour, the US Marshals Service has said that it takes the situation very seriously. They further underlined that the reported behaviour does not reflect the professionalism and fundamental principles that the thousands of USMS workers uphold.
The second constable was taken into custody for a short while before being released and sent home. When the event happened, the two marshals were in London performing their official duty of escorting a suspect back to the United States. An inquiry and an arrest were conducted following the victim’s disclosure to the flight crew about inappropriate touching she had experienced while on flight.
The Airlines Is Assisting Authorities With Their Investigation
Delta Airlines has attested to its collaboration with law enforcement. They stated, that due to disruptive passenger activity during the flight, local law enforcement greeted Delta Flight 1, JFK to London Heathrow, upon landing, and Delta is assisting them with their investigation.
This incident has sparked worries about both passenger safety on aeroplanes. Addition to the behaviour of law enforcement officers when they are on duty. The swift response from the airline and law enforcement agencies shows how seriously these allegations are treated.
The guarantee of collaboration and adherence to professional standards provided by the US Marshals Service acts as a reminder of the responsibility required of people in positions of authority. As the inquiry moves forward, all eyes will be on the US Marshals Service’s actions and the outcome of the court proceedings.
Drunk Delta Airlines Passenger:
Earlier in July, during a nine-hour Delta Airlines flight, a male passenger sexually attacked a woman and her adolescent daughter. The airline was the target of a $2 million lawsuit. The airline is accused of egregious negligence in the case, which also asks for damages for the victims.
According to court filings, the guy was visibly intoxicated and aggressive on a nine-hour flight. Moreover, the attendants “blatantly ignored” their cries for assistance.
The lawsuit was filed in the Eastern District of New York. According to it, the inebriated individual acted aggressively towards the plaintiffs and eventually engaged in inappropriate touching.
