Earlier, Gulf News reported on their plight on April 1 after they were separated from the girl. The couple also pleaded with authorities to speed up a possible reunion with the baby.

Chiara and Mark arrived in Dubai on April 22 after 41 days of staying away from their little one. All thanks to the commendable efforts by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.

We were contacted directly by Maj-Gen Mohammad Al Marri, director of GDRFA-Dubai and MOFA officials to facilitate our return,” said Mark.

Chiara said she was proud of the UAE and Italy and that it was so lovely to see both the countries join hands to help them. They can now see their home from the isolation facility and are waiting to hold their baby in their arms.
