What Is It?

Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) is a legendary ship that began her farewell voyage in 2008 around the UK before traveling to Dubai on November 11. In 1982 QE2 was transformed into a troopship to serve in the Falkland’s war. Now, docked permanently at Dubai’s Mina Rashid, QE2 is a 13 deck hotel that has been lovingly restored to her former glory and revitalized with all the latest and smart technology.

Step aboard and relax in the exquisite rooms and opulent suites that offer a gorgeous view of Dubai’s iconic skyline and the ocean beyond. Embark on a culinary journey across its 13 restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Guests can also get immersed in the rich past at the onsite QE2 Exhibition. This ship turned hotel will officially open its doors in October 2018.

Heritage tours are available on a daily basis at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. This guided tour starts at the QE2 Heritage Exhibition and takes passengers through the ship where they learn about the history of the vessel, original rooms and artifacts and get a glimpse of the accommodation which is priced at AED 150 per person and includes a voucher of AED 100 to spend across the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.

Here’s the good news for UAE residents for whom the room rates will be available at 15% discount with a complimentary buffet breakfast for two, and an upgrade to the next room category too.
