Yes, for the first time, the Dubai Municipality’s parks, lakes, and other recreational areas have seen a record-breaking 15 million visitors!

In a recent report by the Dubai Media Office, it was revealed that Dubai Municipality’s parks, lakes, and other recreational landmarks have registered a record-breaking total of more than 15 million visitors for the first half of 2023. This is a huge development as it has happened for the first time! Marking a whopping 50% rise, as compared to the figures in the same period of 2022, this was 10 million visitors. If you are also wondering about the biggest contributors to these phenomenal figures, then these are as follows –
- 10 million visitors were recorded at lakes and neighbourhood parks.
- 3 million visitors were recorded at the five largest parks, which include Al Manzar Beach, Mushrif Park, Creek Park, Zabeel Park, and Safa Park.
- Dubai Frame was visited by 8,84,000 people.
- The Quranic Park was visited by 7,10,000 people
- Dubai Safa Park was visited by 4,27,000
- 73,000 people had dropped by the Children’s City

Events Were Also A Contributing Factor
Since there has also been an increase in the number of visitors to these facilities by the Dubai Municipality, a major reason for this has been given to access to a variety of transportation options. Moreover, the events organised periodically have also contributed to the impressive figures. As it happens, 200 such events were conducted at these recreational facilities! In case you are wondering, the entire area of Dubai Municipality’s recreational spaces stands at 13,000,000 m². They have all been exquisitely designed, which makes for them to be great places to lounge with loved ones.
