What Should We Be Eating?
Being Italian, anticipate fresh herbs and other ingredients used to curate the dishes here. Before the appetisers start flowing in, tomatoes, olive oil, 15-year-old aged balsamic vinegar & freshly baked bread await us. Bringing in friends and family? Go for the platters that offer ample amounts to share altogether.
Several platters of freshly made pasta, risotto, and handmade pizza are available. If you are in an Italian eatery, it’s a crime to miss out on beautiful antipasti such as Carpaccio di Barbabietola, thinly sliced roasted beetroot with gorgonzola. Also, give their Frisella di Grano Duro e Polipetti with baby octopus and garlic on crisp bread a try.
It’s the Main course time! The full range of classic dishes includes Veal Milanese, Brasato Lento di Capra, slow-braised goat, costolette d’agnello, lamb rack served with a vegetable caponata and pine nuts. Steak lovers in the house should ask for tomahawk steaks. Being in Dubai, non-halal options are a must and they are Salsiccia e Spinaci & the butcher’s board selection. Thoughts of fettucine, raviolo, risotto and the traditional yet unbelievably delicious spaghetti pomodoro come to mind as you consider Cucina’s weekly alternating menu and devoted pasta-making room.
Finish your meal with some traditional gelato from their in-house gelateria. They provide 18 exquisite flavours of gelato that are not to be missed. They range from classics like stracciatella and pistachio to specialities like gorgonzola with balsamic and walnuts and espresso flavour produced with specially roasted coffee beans.
