Egypt Permits All Vaccinated Tourists To Enter Country Without COVID-19 Test

The world is slowly unlocking in phases after several countries opening doors for vaccinated travellers; Egypt is the latest country to allow vaccinated travellers to enter with a PCR Test. The updated rules were announced by Egypt’s health ministry, and here’s everything you must know about it.

Egypt Is Now Allowing Vaccinated Travellers Without PCR Test

As per the new update, travellers who have taken both the shots of vaccine can now enter the country without any PCR test requirements. They have to show their OR coded certificates and should have taken one of the six vaccines approved by Egypt and the World Health Organisation. The accepted vaccines are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Sputnik V and Johnson & Johnson. All these vaccines are available in the UAE, which means UAE-ites can now visit Egypt with PCR test results.

Vaccinated Travellers From Deeply Impacted Countries Will Still Have To Take A Rapid Test 

Travellers also need to remember that their second dose should be taken at least two weeks before arrival. While the country is allowing vaccinated travellers to enter without PCR test, those coming from deeply impacted nations like India will have to undergo a rapid test.

For non-vaccinated travellers, they have to show a PCR test report. This new rule aims to make travel hassle-free for vaccinated tourists. For covid cases, Egypt has recorded a total of 27,8761 cases so far.
