Has Amsterdam been on your bucket list for a very long time? If yes, we have some great news for you if you are fully vaccinated. The Embassy of the Netherlands in India has announced that with prior appointments, fully vaccinated travellers can now apply for any visa category. However, this option is only available for travellers who have been vaccinated with Covishield.

Fully Vaccinated Indians Can Apply For Any Category Of Visa

However, if you are not vaccinated yet or are vaccinated with Covaxin, you can enter Netherlands only if you fall under any of the EU entry ban exemptions. You will have to carry a negative RT-PCR test report as well as mandatorily quarantine for 10 days. Those not complying with the rules will have to pay a heavy fine.

Home Quarantine In The Netherlands For 10 Days

According to reports, you will have to self-quarantine in the Netherlands if you are travelling from India. The home-quarantine rule is applicable even if you are fully vaccinated with Covihield. However, if you get an RT-PCR test on day 5, and your test results come negative, you might be able to shorten your quarantine period. Further, you might be exempted from the mandatory quarantine requirement, depending on the purpose of your trip.

While travelling by air, you should also fill a health declaration form and carry it with you. Some airlines might allow you to complete the health declaration digitally when you check-in.
