Experience Assam’s Rich Culture & Cuisine At Brahmaputra Carnival 2023 Taking Place In Guwahati

The time has come to spend a serene vacation in Guwahati, Assam. The Brahmaputra Carnival 2023 has already started to celebrate Assam’s art, culture and cuisine. The grand fiesta is taking place on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra river to immerse tourists in the soothing weather, the vibrant colours and the culinary delights.

Brahmaputra Carnival 2023: An Ode To Assam’s Art, Culture And Cuisine

Organised by Assam Tourism, the Brahmaputra Carnival 2023 is taking place from January to March on a river island in Guwahati. Regular ferry services have been made available to the island from Rajaduwar Ghat, MG Road and Fancy Bazar. Tents have been set up along the river bank, selling local handicrafts, traditional costumes and much more. The carnival has stalls from other northeastern states as well, like Manipur and Nagaland.

You can try your taste buds on a wide array of local delicacies on the carnival grounds. There will be musical performances by local artists and bands to keep the crowd mirthfully engaged. All in all, the Brahmaputra Carnival 2023 can be a holistic experience to appreciate the rich culture of the northeast.

Take Part In Adventure Sports Like Water Zorbing And Kayaking

Apart from indulging in a shopping spree and relishing delectable food, tourists visiting the carnival can also take part in a slew of adventure activities at the carnival. It has adventure sports options like ziplining, speedboat, water zorbing, kayaking, jet skiing, and ATV rides to satisfy your adrenaline rushes. The festival will take place for three long months, every day, from 10 AM to 9 PM.
