Have you been eagerly waiting to plan a trip to Dubai? In what comes as a great piece of news, Dubai has opened its borders for Indian tourists. The Expo 2020 in Dubai kicks off on October 1 and the administration has already started issuing tourist visas. Are you wondering if you can get visa on arrival in UAE like the pre-pandemic days, here’s everything you need to know.

What Additional Documents Do You Need To Travel To UAE?

Ahead of Expo 2020, visa agency VFS Global announced that it resumed tourist visa services, effective August 30, 2021. However, there are a couple of documents that you will need to provide to travel to UAE.
You will need a negative RT-PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours from the time of collecting the sample as well as a rapid PCR test report conducted at the airport six hours prior to departure. Both the results should have a QR code that will be scanned before flying.

Is There Any Change In The Visa Process?

Tourists will not need approval from the country’s GDRFA or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) to travel to UAE. If you wish to travel to UAE right now, you can apply for a tourist visa on http://www.emirates.com or at one of Dubai Visa Processing Centres in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi , Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Can You Get Visa On Arrival?

While the UAE has discontinued visa on arrival, Emirates shows that Indian nationals who are travelling to India via Dubai can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days in Dubai. UAE Flight Fares Increase By 100%; Highest From Kerala, Mumbai & Delhi.
