Expo 2020 Spreads Message About Sustainable Development Goals
The UAE Vice President praised the immersive Expo 2020 projection that called attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the SDG Moment on Monday, the Expo team brought a small sample of the spectacular Al Wasl’s presentation of Alchemy to the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York.
The interactive cinematic experience addressed the world’s beauty, intellect, and fragility, as well as the forces of nature — humans and the earth. The performance revealed the huge possibilities, where people and nature can not just coexist but also work together. It highlighted some of the existing commitments made by Expo 2020 attendees to promote the SDGs.
The highlight of the event was the moment when the projection switched to a story about children from across the globe. It depicted the need to use information and technology to help children realise their full potential. This set the stage for the ‘Transforming Education Summit’.
