For Months, Sadhguru Just Lived On Groundnuts & Bananas For The Entire Day | Curly Tales

Sadhguru is one of the most revered spiritual leaders in the world. Our Editor-in-Chief had the great privilege of meeting Sadhguru at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on this episode of Curly Tales Sunday Brunch. She not only had the opportunity to meet him but also enjoyed a soulful breakfast with him. He shared many memories from his childhood days with us, as well as loads of wisdom and knowledge.

Sadhguru Lived On Groundnuts And Bananas

Unlike other episodes of Sunday brunch, in this episode, Kamiya had a few bites of a spread of bowls with some healthy food items. He began explaining the importance of each and every item in the bowl, which included soaked groundnuts, turmeric balls, neem leaf balls, sprouted methi, soaked almonds, and sprouted green grams.

While talking about all the items, he pointed at the soaked groundnuts and explained to us their importance. He claims that organically grown groundnuts are high in protein and enzymes, both of which are essential. Sadhguru shared that there was a time when he lived on groundnuts and bananas for months. He would only consume one banana and some groundnuts for the entire day, and he says it has all the nourishment one needs.

He Made A Decision To Educate Himself

Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya, was speaking with Sadhguru when she asked him about his opinions on schooling and the hopes his parents had for him. He explained that his father considers becoming a doctor to be successful, so he asked him to enrol in college and pursue a master’s degree. Sadhguru, however, disapproved of this method. He made the decision to educate himself. He stayed in the library at Mysore University for an entire year, from morning to night.

Sadhguru shared his opinions on the educational system. He did not think it was proper for schools to teach one student many subjects. He was adamant that education should broaden a student’s horizons rather than mould him into a master of none or a jack of all trades.

During their enjoyable chats, Kamiya Jani and Sadhguru exchanged ideas on a variety of topics, including life, events, food, and more. So if you want to know more, watch the episode now on Youtube.
