After the cases of people drowning in the waterfalls increased, the Goa government announced a ban. This ban was on all the waterfalls in the wildlife sanctuaries. Goa Lifts Ban On Visit To 14 Low-Risk Waterfall
The restriction was changed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests on Tuesday, permitting access to 14 low-risk waterfalls.
These waterfalls are located in the South Goa talukas of Canacona, Dharbandora, and Sanguem, as well as the North Goa district of Sattari. The order stated that these waterfalls are now accessible to the general public.
The ban, which was imposed just last week, has had modifications, like the requirement that tickets be purchased by visitors at authorized entry points. The order further stated that all visitors must adhere to the forest department’s rules and regulations for their own safety and to prevent disturbing any wildlife.

Tourists At Dudhsagar Were Sent Back

Goa’s Dudhsagar waterfall is a popular tourist destination that draws travelers from all over the nation and the world. Previously, visitors could access the location by strolling down a railroad track.
The Goa authorities have, however, made it illegal for tourists to walk on or along the tracks leading to the waterfall. This comes as a result of the recent event in which two youngsters drowned while trying to access Dudhsagar.
The Goa-Karnataka border’s road through the forest leading to the Dudhsagar waterfall has also been closed out. this decision was taken for safety concerns due to the swollen rivers.
The South Western Railway issued an advisory for the general public and asked them not to deboard at Dudhsagar or other nearby stations to walk the tracks.
