Those who keep travelling towards the Eastern part of the country, might be aware that Jet Airways withdrew its operations to Mizoram last February, and it had become quite a hassle for travellers. But now, Mizoram is all set to have a direct air link with Delhi once again. Yes, GoAir is introducing a direct flight from Delhi to Mizoram on March 29 this year.
All About It
As of now, GoAir completes 27 Indian domestic destinations every day. Principal consultant for civil aviation, Wing Commander J. Lalhmingliana was reported as saying, ‘Mumbai based low-cost airline, GoAir would operate Airbus 320 aircraft between Aizawl and Delhi commencing from March 29.’ He also said that the flight service on the Aizawl-Delhi route will be operated on a daily basis. The airlines have kept a fixed fare at the cheapest rate possible as ₹3476 (From Delhi to Aizawl) and ₹4,000 (From Lengpui to Aizawl).

Departure & Arrival Schedule
Talking about the departure and arrival, the flight is scheduled to depart from Delhi at 10:50 in the morning and land on Lengpui airport at 1:30 in the afternoon. While the departure from Lengpui is scheduled at 2 pm and arrival at Indira Gandhi international airport is 6:15 pm.
GoAir launched its operation from Aizawl on October 15 last year with chief minister Zoramthanga flagging off the Airbus 320 operated by the private airline from Lengpui airport.
The airlines also started operations on the Aizawl-Guwahati-Kolkata sector in same month last year.
Indigo To Also Join The Queue
It’s also been confirmed that the IndiGo flight service will be launched too on the Delhi-Aizawl route. The official said that the airline has fixed fare for Guwahati to Aizawl at ₹2,248, Aizawl to Guwahati at ₹3,632 and Agartala to Aizawl at ₹1,251.

Mizoram is IndiGo’s sixth destination in the Northeast. The flight service between Aizawl and Agartala is the first for the route in history. But for now, you can book and enjoy the direct flight from Delhi to Mizoram and back via GoAir which is launching on March 29, 2020. So safe and easy travels!
