As the country is fighting the harrowing second wave of COVID-19, the Government of India has shared a sample meal plan for the virus affected patients. While establishments all across India have started delivering home-style food to quarantined patients, the Centre has shared what should be the ideal diet plan for a COVID patient. The government’s suggested diet includes soaked almonds, ragi dosa and ghee with roti, among others. Read on to know the details.

Centre Shares 5-Point Sample Meal Plan For COVID-19 Patients

The sample meal suggested by the Government of India includes the following:

1. Start the day by consuming soaked almonds and raisins. Almonds are a rich source of protein and raisins provide a good amount of iron

2. For breakfast, ragi dosa or a bowl of porridge is the best option

3. Jaggery and ghee recommended during or post-lunch or have this nutritious combination along with roti

4. For dinner, have a simple khichdi as it includes all the essential nutrients, is light on the gut, and helps with good sleep

5. It is important to stay hydrated; apart from water, you must include homemade lime juice and buttermilk in your daily routine

Also, the Centre Has Issued a List Of COVID Immunity Foods. Dark Chocolate Is Also In The List.
