Here’s What Sachin Tendulkar Likes To Eat

Sachin Tendulkar is a massive foodie and we had a blast on this 100th Sunday Brunch episode with him and our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani. We relished a feast of his favourite dishes while chatting about his 24-year-long cricket career, travels, food and many more fascinating subjects. Today, we are going to share the list of his favourite food items with you and it turns out he is a hardcore Maharashtrian.

What Are Sachin Tendulkar’s Favourite Dishes To Indulge In?

Kamiya started with the most important question ever, “What do you like to eat?” Sachin had a smile on his face while answering this question, “I eat anything and everything, to be honest.” Then he raved about how great a cook his mother was and how no one in the world could match up to the appetising food she made. Since then, he fell in love with Maharashtrian delicacies.

Even during this episode, he could not stop talking about the vada pav from Shivaji Park in Dadar and it is indeed his favoured street food in the entire city. The rest of the Mumbai street food items he adores are sev batata puri, bhel puri and misal pav. Next, he conveyed that he relishes fish curry and rice and can even prepare this combo.

Last but not least, in the sweet department he likes Puran Poli and Modak. He kept gushing about how good his aunt’s handmade Modaks are. Well, we would love to eat modak prepared by your aunt, Sachin!

When Sachin mentioned that he cooked a meal for his wife right after marriage, we wanted to know all about it in detail. He shared that he wanted to surprise Anjali by preparing tasty seafood which both of them love.

So, he called up his mother who guided him and he whipped up a yummy fish curry and rice. Anjali even praised him for making one of the best fish curries she had ever eaten. Who knew our master blaster was also an extremely skilful cook?
