Have you made your exciting plans to celebrate New Year’s Eve and New Year? While everyone is getting ready to spend these two days in the grandest way possible, we have some bad news for you, unfortunately. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) shared its weather predictions and updates for the next few days and looks like rainfall might spoil the plans.
IMD Predicted Rainfall In Some Indian States
Many states all around India are expected to experience rainfall during the next few days. From North to South to Central India, many cities are likely to see rainfall lashing out. According to the weather predictions of IMD, parts of Kerala will see light to moderate downpours starting on December 31 to January 3. South Tamil Nadu is likely to receive heavy rain on New Year’s Eve and New Year followed by light to moderate rainfall till January 3, according to a report by ZeeNews.
A wet spell is also likely to lash over states in North and Northwest India as well. There are probable chances of downpours in East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand in the upcoming couple of days.
The primary reason behind the change in weather and chances of rainfall is a western disturbance impacting Northwest India. These places in India are likely to receive light rain from December 31 to Jan 2.
