100 Noida Street Vendors To Be Honoured For Maintaining Cleanliness

Many awards and appreciation ceremonies are conducted all over the world for top-notch restaurants and hotels. But, honouring street vendors for their performance is not something that happens every day. The Noida authority, for the first time, is taking up an initiative to honour the street vendors who maintain cleanliness around their stalls. According to a Hindustan Times report, SC Mishra, senior project engineer of the Noida authority, has said, “The authority will honour 100 best street vendors with an appreciation letter and the winners will be finalised the end of December.” On that note, did you know that there is a Connaught Place in Greater Noida with a replica of Taj Mahal?

The Participating Street Vendor Needs To Have A License

There will be a few conditions for the vendors to be applicable for the award. Firstly, the street vendor needs to be licenced. As per reports, there are around 3000 licensed street vendors in Noida. Also, they need to have two dustbins, one green and one blue. Vendors willing to participate need to send their entry mentioning the licence number to the mobile number 9717080605. An event will be organised along with the residents where the authority will honour the 100 winning vendors. The winner will be designated as a Swachh street vendor.

The Swachhta Survey 2021

By keeping their surroundings clean, the vendors will also score better in the Swachhta Survey 2021, which is likely to start in the first week of January 2021 and end by the last week of the month. The authority has also asked various associations, like associations of apartment owners, factory owners, welfare associations and more to perform well in the survey. This is definitely a commendable initiative to keep the city and its roads uncluttered, beautiful and pollution-free. Meanwhile, here are 10 dishes to try at Noida’s Brahmaputra Market:
