When it comes to animals and wildlife, people are quite proactive. Every animal, from pandas to giraffes to lions, has a role in our ecosystem, and everyone should take steps to safeguard them. Following the birth of two cubs in a theme park, Hong Kong is expected to host its largest panda-themed exhibition with thousands of huge panda sculptures. Beginning on Saturday, the locals will be greeted by these cute bears.

Hong Kong just had the opening ceremony of their biggest panda-themed exhibition. The airport in Hong Kong hosted 2,500 exhibits for the opening ceremony of PANDA GO! FEST HK. Before moving to three more sites this month, these adorable panda sculptures will be on display this weekend at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, a well-known shopping area.
Despite the enormous expense of keeping six pandas in captivity, Hong Kong’s tourist sector is hopeful about the possibility of increasing visitor numbers. Businesses are being advised by the government to capitalise on the panda’s popularity in order to benefit from the “panda economy.”
The organisers of the event also asked celebrities, such as musician Pharrell Williams, to create limited-edition pandas. In order to assist giant panda conservation efforts, Ocean Park in Hong Kong will receive the revenues from the online charity auction of the majority of these limited-edition sculptures. Since the former British colony returned to Chinese sovereignty in 1997, Beijing has given Hong Kong two more pandas: Ying Ying and Le Le, the father of the twin cubs, as reported by Associated Press.

This year, Hong Kong’s Ocean Park received two more pandas from Beijing. Additionally, Ocean Park is the residence of the twin cubs and their parents. Resins and repurposed rubber barrels were used to create six sculptures that were modelled after these bears. With the birth of these kids in August, Ying Ying became the world’s oldest first-time panda mother.
In September, two pandas named An An and Ke Ke arrived in Ocean Park after Beijing gifted them to Hong Kong. As the Chinese financial centre seeks to reclaim its status as a premier travel destination, the introduction of these pandas is anticipated to strengthen Hong Kong’s economy. Pandas are regarded as China’s unofficial national mascot and Beijing’s soft-power diplomacy is seen to be reflected in the country’s big panda loan program with foreign zoos. It is anticipated that the public will witness these pandas on Sunday.
