If you thought your Uber app could just help you book an auto or cab, then think again! Perhaps, the future isn’t too far away where this app might help you book a hotel, too! At its annual GO–GET product event, Uber Technologies Inc introduced a comprehensive list of new products and features that included travel tools and hotel bookings packed into a single app. In one particular country, you can book a hotel on Uber!

Uber Partners With Expedia To Allow Hotel Bookings On App

As per a report by Travel Trade Journal, Uber collaborated with Expedia Group to help users in the United States in a different manner. Apart from booking cabs, folks in the USA can also book hotels directly on the Uber app. This offer will extend to 7,00,000 properties across the globe. The report further mentions that Uber One members can earn 10% back in credits on their hotel bookings. Also, they can get at least 20% discounts on a selection of over 10,000 hotels.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi stated that the app is becoming a go-to for everything. It will help people to go, get what they want and also travel. In an era of cognitive overload, Dara stated that the app helps people to reclaim their time and spend less time managing the logistics of life and actually live in it.

Travel-Related Feature Is Available In The USA

Moreover, Uber rides will be integrated into the Expedia app. Travellers in the USA can receive notifications ahead of check-in. In the USA, the app has also launched a Travel Mode that has curated recommendations for popular destinations, dinner reservations, delivery services and a personal travel concierge.

Uber One members can earn credits on rides internationally and also enjoy benefits like zero delivery fees. With Uber letting you book hotels through its partnership with Expedia, it goes to see if this feature will arrive in India as well.
