Recently, the famous travel company, Booking.com released the results of a survey which revealed that Indians are the second most confident travellers in the Asian Pacific or APAC regions. This particular survey analysed a total of 11 travel markets in the APAC countries. India ranked second on the list as most Indians are optimistic about their future travel plans. According to the survey, most Indians are not at all perturbed by the complex global challenges.
Indian Travellers Are 2nd Most Confident Travellers In APAC Countries
Booking.com is a popular travel company. It recently released a survey which revealed that India had the second most confident travellers in all the APAC countries. The survey was released in collaboration with TCI, a research company.
The first country on the list is Hong Kong and China is ranked 3rd, after India. According to an article recently published by News18, a total of 86 per cent of Indians were optimistic about their future travel plans. 68 per cent of people intend to increase their budget for travelling.
The article also mentions that 61 per cent of Indians do not plan on postponing their travel plans in the next 12 months and of these, 59 per cent of people are aiming to continue, if not increase, travelling in the next 12 months.

Travel Confidence Index 2023

The top five countries in the list, with the exception of Singapore, are grouped as ‘Conscious explorers’ as they have high travel confidence and a high sustainability interest. Singapore and New Zealand are termed ‘Comfort seekers’ and they are characterised by high travel confidence and low sustainability index
Vietnam is basically the only country in the ‘Mindful Voyagers’ category as the survey revealed that Vietnamese travellers have low travel confidence but high sustainability interest. Thailand, Korea, New Zealand, and Japan are characterised by low sustainability interest and low travel confidence and hence, they were grouped as ‘Homebound Pragmatists.’
