How would you feel if you found a piece of paper with the word “bomb” written on it under your seat in an aeroplane? Well, a  flight, which landed in Bengaluru from Kolkata, faced a similar situation. An IndiGo cabin crew member found a piece of tissue paper that had the word “bomb” written on it. However, later on, it was found that it was a hoax, and a complaint was filed.

IndiGo Faces ‘BOMB’ Hoax

IndiGo flight 6E 379 arrived at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 8:01 a.m. from Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. After the plane landed successfully, about 200 passengers alighted from it. After this, a cabin crew member found a piece of tissue paper with the word “bomb” written on it in blue ink behind seat 6D.

The airport security was informed about the bomb threat found on the plane, and the authorities took action immediately. The aircraft was isolated from other aircrafts and was inspected by trained dogs. The bomb squad was also called on the spot. The authorities made sure that all the standard procedures were followed.

Further Investigations Carried On

All of the investigations revealed that it was a hoax and that the aircraft was completely safe. The aircraft was sanitised after all the investigations. Now, further investigations will be carried out to find the passenger who wrote this. A complaint (FIR) has been registered at the KIA police station, and the same will be presented in court on Monday.

The police officials have booked a non-cognizable report (NCR), which will be produced at the Judicial Magistrate First Class Court at Devanahalli. One of the passengers is under suspicion, and the airline authorities, along with airport officials, will look into the matter.
