IRCTC Allots Man Seat No 79 On A Train With 78 Seats; Distraught Passenger Shares Ordeal Online

Travelling on a train is one of the cheapest and most comfortable modes of transportation. It is surely a great journey to take a trip on a train and enjoy the scenic views while passing through the train routes. But these train journeys are not always the same as we expect them to be. A passenger travelling on the Janhit Express (13206) shared his distressing experience of booking tickets via IRCTC. Read on to what really happened on the train!

IRCTC Allotted Wrong Seat No To A Passenger

A Twitter user named Harshvardhan Singh is the passenger we are talking about. He booked 3 tickets on the Janhit Express train (13206) via IRCTC. He took to his Twitter handle @satyamrsm to share what actually happened after booking the tickets. Here’s what he tweeted!

Harshvardhan Singh tweeted how the coach of Janhit Express (13206) he was travelling to had 78 seats. But while he booked three tickets via IRCTC, one of his three-seat numbers was 79. It is clearly impossible to issue seat no 79 on a train coach with 78 seats. The passenger tweeted about the discomfort that he had to experience on this journey. He even shared a photo of the train that states that the coach has 78 seats. In another photo, he attached a photo of his tickets with seat numbers 73, 76, and 79.

Harshvardhan also tagged the official Twitter accounts of East Central Railway (@ECRlyHJP) and Ashwini Vaishnaw (@AshwiniVaishnaw) asking if they can compensate for the utter discomfort caused.
