Jaipur Tourist Stopped From Entering Taj Mahal For Carrying Lord Krishna Idol

Imagine being stopped from entering the Taj Mahal! Disheartening right? Well, something similar happened to a tourist from Jaipur, Rajasthan. On Tuesday, the tourist identified as Gautam, carrying a Lord Krishna idol was denied entry to the Taj Mahal in Agra. Soon after the incident got reported, Hindu activists expressed their urge to protest against the authorities for such behavior and demanded strict action to be taken against those who stopped the tourist. Soon after, an Agra circle official from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), said that they will enquire about the matter with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials.

No Entry To ‘Laddu Gopal’ In Taj Mahal

The tourist Gautam who hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan is used to traveling with ‘Laddu Gopal.’ “Laddu Gopal is like a family member and I always carry him. I have visited Mathura and Vrindavan with the Lord. But here they asked me to enter without God’s idol,” said Gautam. He further revealed to the reporters that the official from the Taj Mahal cited security reasons for stopping him from entering Taj with the idol. The incident led to a lot of outrage by the Hindu activists. Govind Parashar, national president of the Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat said, “Strict action should be taken against those who have insulted the Lord. If action is not taken, we will protest.”
Following that, Prince Vajpayee, the Conservation Assistant (CA) at the monument revealed, “I too have got a video in this regard. But I have no information on whether the incident was on Monday or some other day. Will enquire about the incident from the CISF.”

More About The Monument

Taj Mahal is located on the right bank of the Yamuna River in a vast Mughal garden of about 17 hectares, in the Agra District in Uttar Pradesh. Built between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz, the Mahal is a massive mausoleum of white marble. Taj, being one of the most incredibly built architectural masterpieces and one of the wonders of the World, attracts millions of tourists every year.
