India is all set to get its first-ever 3D-printed post office very soon. The work for such an exciting project is going on in full swing. Bengaluru is going to be the home to this uniquely constructed one-of-a-kind post office. The construction is a mega example of the advancement and the perfect use of 3D printing technology. Ashwini Vaishnaw Shared A Video Of This 3D-Post Office!

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, shared a video of the proposed design of this distinctive post office getting constructed in Bengaluru. You can watch the design of the construction using 3D printing technology here!

Here Are All The Details About This New Post office:

  • This is the first 3D-printed post office in the country.
  • According to the plan, the project will take only about a month, just around 30 days.
  • The project to construct this building has a budget of 2 lakhs, according to a report by Indian Expres.
  • This budget is around 30 per cent to 40 per cent lesser than the usual amount required to construct an ordinary post office.
  •  This 3D-printed building is getting constructed on an area of 1,100 sq ft.
  • The location of the Ulsoor Bazaar Post Office is the Cambridge Layout.
  • Larsen & Toubro, a multinational conglomerate company, is working on this. This company has previously worked in the field of 3D-printed construction projects.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also shared the video and captioned how it feels good to see new avenues of technology being harnessed for this purpose.
