One of the most beautiful hill stations in all of India, Kodaikanal is situated in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. With a name that translates to ‘The Gift of the Forest’, the serenity of this place certainly lives up to it. Also known as the ‘Princess of Hill Stations’, Kodaikanal hosts many tourists every year. Especially during the summer, people from all parts of India visit this place to beat the heat waves. Every year, this hill station welcomes its guests with a summer festival and engages them in all that this stunning place has to offer.

This year as well, the 60th Flower Show was held and it lasted for 3 days. The annual summer show will last till June 2. When the natural charm of this place gets mixed with the vibrance of the festivities, the city often experiences a high surge in tourism. This year as well, the tourist traffic in Kodaikanal is increasing every day. This flower show which ended on May 28 attracted many people from Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

Every year when the southern states of India experience high temperatures, Kodaikanal welcomes them with a cool breeze. In conversation with a news outlet, a visitor to Kodaikanal shared that he came to Kodaikanal to enjoy summer vacation with his family. He and his family decided to visit Kodaikanal to avoid the summer heat for at least two days because Madurai has a high temperature at this time of year. He also expressed his happiness in attending the amazing summer festival there.
