Breaking stereotypes, Laxmi Jadhav is all set to become the first-ever woman BEST bus driver in Mumbai. Jadhav hails from Mulund and is 41 years old. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) corporation had come into existence in 1926. Yadav is the first woman in 96 years who will be a BEST bus driver. All thanks to the Mateshwari Urban Transport Solutions Pvt Ltd., who hired her for the role.

Laxmi Jadhav Was The First Lady To Get Autorickshaw Permit From Wadala RTO

According to a Times of India report, before adding the feather of being BEST’s first woman driver on her cap, Jadhav had achieved another impressive feat too. In 2016, she had become the first lady to get an autorickshaw permit from Wadala RTO. She told TOI that she had a love for driving since her childhood days. Now she is finally giving shape to her dreams. She had also learnt driving swanky cars like Mercedes and BMW. Jadhav is an example of self-belief and dedication.

Jadhav Will Drive Bus On Dharavi-South Mumbai Route

Jadhav will be driving bus on the Dharavi-South Mumbai route. She will be hitting the roads on around May 27-28, as per reports. BEST is also training two more women drivers who will join the bus service. On that note, A Mother Of Two Had Become J&K’s First Woman Bus Driver, inspiring everyone.
