Man Slams Airavat Tirupati-Bangalore Bus For Broken Seats Despite Buying ₹900 Ticket

If you’re a Bangalorean, you’d agree with me that bus travel is often preferred over air travel. Why? The answer is simple Bangalore airport. After all, the trip to the airport costs almost as much as an overnight bus travel fare. While travelling by bus has many pros, recently a passenger took to Twitter to complain about the broken seats in his Airavat Tirupati-Bangalore bus.

Man Complains About Broken Seats In Airavat Bus

Karthik (@Karthiikl) tweeted about his journey on Airavat bus from the pilgrimage site, Tirupti to India’s Silicon Valley, Bangalore. He shared that despite paying ₹900 as fare he faced a broken seat and noticed the bus was poorly maintained. The Twitterati shared a picture of his bus seat where the blue seat looked extremely dusty and had a broken handle.

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) replied to his tweet and asked him to provide them with his PNR number or ticket details. The frustrated passenger asked about the whole point of offering these details after completing his journey. He said that buying luxury buses doesn’t guarantee good transportation, but maintaining them does.

Later, KSRTC replied, regretting the inconvenience caused to the passenger. And they promised to take needful action once they get his PNR number. Once again, Kartik replied that this was not about a specific bus route. Instead, it’s about the transport company maintaining one of the most reputed buses as passengers want KSRTC buses to be clean and reliable.

Netizens Share Bad Travel Experiences

In no time Netizens flooded the comments section and shared their experiences on KSRTC buses. @baarukolu replied that most Airavat buses face this. He highlighted the lack of cleanliness, broken and dirty seats with foul smells as some of the issues here. Furthermore, @baarukolu added that bus conductors and drivers don’t know that playing music is prohibited on such buses.

Most of Airawata, Rajahamsa buses fate is this. No cleanliness, broken and dirty seats and bad odour inside. Many Drivers & Conductors dont know the rule that playing music & talking on loudspeaker is prohibited inside the bus.
