Matheran- Home To Rock-Cut Idol Of Lord Ganesh
The eco-friendly hill station of Matheran draws countless visitors each year. With 38 peak points it is named as “Maharashtra’s Gift.”.Matheran is a lovely and quiet place to get away from the chaos of city life. The place is now also known as a place home to the huge rock-cut idol of lord Ganesh. About 4 miles separate the parking area from the Ganpati idol. Neral is the nearest station to reach the hill station. A miniature replica of the idol can be seen as you arrive at it, hidden beneath the main boulder.
