In Matheran, a magnificent Lord Ganesh idol fashioned from a single boulder sits majestically and is known as Kadyavarcha Ganpati. The word ‘Kadya’ in Marathi simply means edge and that is how the Rock-cut Ganpati idol got its name. Kadyavarcha translates to on the edge in Marathi.
