Delhi is a vibrant city known for its diverse culinary scene, with numerous restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines and dining experiences. And one of Delhi’s hotspots, ADRIFT Kaya by Michelin-starred ‘gypsy’ chef,  David Myers celebrates a year of Japanese culinary excellence in India. ADRIFT Kaya is Chef Myers’s first outpost in India. The place is known for bringing a longstanding culinary history of Japan and a riot of flavours.

A Year Of Japanese Culinary Celebration


ADRIFT Kaya is born out of a decade-long love affair between Chef David Myers and the awe-inspiring city of Tokyo. The place is a treasure house of flavour-forward cuisine that will take one straight to the buzzing alleyways of Tokyo. All inspired by the traditional izakaya restaurants that are found throughout Japan,

The buzzy spot at the JW Marriott Aerocity hotel is now celebrating a year of carving its place in Delhi’s culinary culture of Japanese cuisine.  The restaurant celebrates the ancient tradition of Izakaya eateries, sushi counter seating, Ginza-style cocktails and nods to Japanese art and craftsmanship.


When it comes to the menu, the chef brings his Californian roots to focus and blends traditional Japanese dishes with a Californian twist. Expect pristine sashimi, crispy tempura, bincho-tan grilled yakitori and other traditional izakaya staples.  Even, the extensive collection of sake, fine wines, and specially curated cocktails elevate the dining experience.

Even called the “gypsy” chef for his extensive travels, Chef David Myers is returning to Delhi to present his exclusive menu in celebration of ADRIFT Kaya’s one-year anniversary.  A specially curated sit-down dinner will be held from 23rd to 27th May 2023.

What To Expect At ADRIFT Kaya?


As you step into the restaurant, you are greeted by a modern and elegant setting, with traditional Japanese elements subtly incorporated into the decor. Tapping the specific izakaya essence, ADRIFT Kaya certainly does have a vibe.  The place comes with accents that invoke an easy Japanese bar feeling without veering off into tacky.

The comfortable seating and inviting lighting enhance the place. Moreover, this makes it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner, a gathering with friends, or even a business meeting. The restaurant also offers private dining areas for those seeking a more intimate experience.
