Dubai’s Floating French Restaurant, Lady Nara Is Back & Serving Riviera Dinners On Dubai Canal

Dubai’s dhow dinners are about to pick up a French accent. Lady Nara, the custom-built luxury dhow from Nara Hospitality Group, returns on 6 November as a floating French restaurant, with redesigned interiors and an entirely new menu inspired by the Golden Age of Travel. You book a table the way you would at any restaurant in the city. The difference is that your dinner moves, and the Dubai skyline becomes the backdrop as the dhow glides along Dubai Canal.

A Riviera Dinner On The Water

The signature dinner draws on the cooking of Nice and the French Riviera, with introductory pricing of AED 350 per person. It is built around a sharing-style menu, with a selection of dishes arriving at the table for everyone before the mains. Two mains follow, served one after the other: La Bouillabaisse de Joseph, then a braised lamb shank. Guests who skip fish and meat get a seasonal vegetable risotto in place of both.

The Family Story Behind The Menu

The food follows a family story. Joseph Leblanc, the founder’s grandfather, was born in Cannes and grew up in Nice, facing the sea. He saved all his life for one idea: a dhow of his own, to see the world from the water. Lady Nara carries that idea forward. The table brings his Nice to Dubai, with Riviera flavours, the founder’s grandmother’s artichokes and La Bouillabaisse de Joseph, his favourite, made with the catch of the day.

What The Evening Looks Like

Dinner begins with a personal welcome aboard, followed by attentive table service, intimate live music and a series of signature hospitality rituals. The concept takes its cue from an era when the journey mattered as much as the destination, and dinner at sea was an occasion in itself. That spirit meets the warmth of French Mediterranean hospitality and the craft of a traditional Emirati dhow.

The route follows stretches of Dubai Canal, departing from and returning to Jumeira. As the light changes, so does the view. A city you know well from the road looks different from the deck.
