Have you ever forgotten your earphones, mobile, wallet or perhaps your scarf in a cab? Well, you are certainly not alone. Especially if you’re from Mumbai or Delhi then you are one amongst scores of other passengers who’ve been forgetful during their cab journeys in the city. According to an Uber’s Lost and Found Index Mumbai and Delhi are India’s most forgetful cities where many people have lost their belongings in cabs. But don’t worry, they found it.

Uber released its Lost and Found Index to create awareness among passengers about their in-app options in case they forget their belongings in cabs during their trips. Using rider insights and gigabytes of data, Uber shared that Mumbai is the most forgetful city in India for the second time in a row, Delhi-NCR and Lucknow come second and third respectively. According to Business Insider, Nitish Bhushan, Director, Central Operations revealed that while losing belongings in cabs can be stressful, Uber offers options to trace and get back your items.

People Forgot Sweets, Flutes, Phones In Uber Cabs

The fun and insightful annual survey is nothing but a reminder to passengers that they can easily send Uber a request to trace and retrieve their items. Apart from sharing a list of forgetful cities in India, Uber also revealed a list of frequently forgotten items. This includes phones, speakers or headphones, wallets, phone chargers, groceries and even water bottles. Some of the unique items that people forgot in cabs are flutes, Aadhar Cards, cricket bats, college certificates, flutes and even the Rajasthani mithai ghevar.
