How Will The Timings To Cover The Distance Get Shorter?

With the Delhi metro trains running faster than usual, the time taken to reach your destination will decrease as well. This is how the required time will get reduced.

  • When these metro trains ran at a speed of 80 km/hr on the Delhi metro express line, it took about 19 minutes to complete the journey from New Delhi Railway Station to the Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
  • The distance between these two points is about 19.4 km and now the time required to travel between these two places is just 17 minutes. The total time is reduced by 2 minutes when the trains are running at a speed of 100 km/hr.
  • The journey will further be reduced by 2 minutes once these trains run at a speed of 120 km/hr.

The metro trains are running at a speed of 100 km/hr from day. It will be running at a speed of 110 km/hr from the next month. Once again, the speed will increase to 120 km/hr from the next to next month.
