Fitness centres and gyms are an important part of one’s lifestyle. After all, it enables people to follow a set routine and live a healthy lifestyle. However, with the sheer number of gyms in a city like Dubai, it can become quite difficult to choose a good fitness centre. After all, advertisements can sometimes be misleading and you might not find the best amenities that were promised at the time of applying for membership of a particular gym. So, to save you from such mishaps, Dubai gyms are now going to be star-rated according to a new system. Here’s everything to know about it.

Dubai Sports Council To Star Rate Gyms In Dubai

The Dubai Sports Council took to Twitter to announce that a classification system comprising 17 benchmark criteria and 82 sub-indicators will be used to evaluate fitness centres. Moreover, these gyms will be star-rated and the first-of-its-kind classification system will give the centres a maximum of five stars. Not to mention, this will be done in cooperation with international experts! As it happens, the tweet also mentioned that the aim of this classification is to enhance professionalism in the world of the fitness industry.

On What Basis Will This Valuation Happen?

As it happens, the evaluation process has already begun and it is expected that the results for this will be out in October. So, it is worth mentioning that a development plan will also be shared with the fitness centres that will receive the lowest ratings, according to a report by the Khaleej Times.
