The eco-tourism startup B-Live offers experiential guided tours on electric bikes in cities in states like Goa, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The interesting and environment-friendly way of exploring Ooty with almost zero carbon footprint has been started in partnership with the green movement initiative, ‘Make Ooty Beautiful’. The electric bike startup, B-Live offers a range of 50km on a single charge. The electric bikes come with an accelerator and pedal-assist mode, so even if the battery runs out you can still use it to commute distances. The e-bikes also have digital displays in the front.

Geetha Srinivasan, Convenor of Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage stated that tourist vehicles are major contributions to the rising level of air pollution in the city, as the tourist foot-fall has reached millions in Ooty. She further added that guided e-bike tours from this eco-friendly startup can offer a clean mode of exploring and experiencing the beauty of Ooty. In November 2019, B-Live started operations in Mysuru in Karnataka. The company offered a practical approach to design experiential tours on electric bikes in a manner that these bikes could be charged by tourists at some of these spots.
