The Indian Embassy in Bangkok has issued a travel advisory for Indians visiting Thailand. The authorities released the advisory on July 2, highlighting certain requirements for travellers. As per NDTV, the advisory comes after Thailand ended its visa-free entry programme for Indian passport holders.
As per the Indian Embassy’s latest guidelines, every traveller must carry a valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of arrival. Visitors should also keep confirmed return flight tickets, hotel bookings, and a clear travel itinerary with them. Immigration officials may ask to see these documents during entry checks.

More Thailand Travel Rules Indians Should Not Ignore
Indians should fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card within 72 hours of arriving in Thailand. Once you complete the form, you will receive a QR code that may be required during immigration procedures.
The embassy has advised travellers to get the right visa according to the purpose of their visit. It also said that tourists travelling under the Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival (VOA) scheme should carry at least 20,000 Thai Baht (around ₹57,446) in cash. Immigration officers may ask them to show this money at the time of entry.
If you’re travelling in a group, every person should carry their own documents. Also, visitors who have already secured a job offer should not enter the country using a Visa Waiver or Visa on Arrival. Instead, they should obtain the appropriate employment-related visa before travelling.
Travellers passing through Thailand on their way to another country should carry all documents related to their final destination.
Make sure you follow these rules if you’re planning to visit Thailand!
