Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a 2-day work visit to Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala. He embarked on this journey on January 2 from Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. After Chief Minister MK Stalin welcomed him at the airport, the PM headed to different events and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for different projects. From there, he travelled to Lakshadweep’s Kavaratti on Wednesday and his itinerary included laying the foundation stone and inaugurating many projects there as well.

After Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, Modi ji will be flying to Kerala. Before his arrival in the state on January 3, a grand dance rehearsal was performed at the Vadakkumnathan temple ground. Thrissur’s Vadakkumnathan temple ground hosted a Thiruvathira performance today.
The gala event of the dance performance is conducted to honour PM Modi. The final rehearsal was to prepare for the grand welcome of PM. It is a special performance presented during the auspicious occasion of Onam. On Wednesday, about 2,000 women dancers took part in the Thiruvathira performance.
The 10-minute traditional dance beautifully depicted Kombum Kudavayarum and a song from Ramayana. Kombum Kudavayarum is traditionally devoted to Lord Ganesha.

His itinerary for Kerala includes attending a gathering of lakhs of women and addressing the event as well. The gathering will take place in the afternoon in the presence of Modi ji, eminent women personalities from different fields and sectors such as culture, sports, and more, and around 2 lakh women. Many guests will attend the event while being on the stage with the Prime Minster. Also, there will be a scheduled road show in Thrissur.
PM Modi’s recent visit to Thrissur will mark his second visit to this city in the past 5 years. To welcome him and celebrate his time in Kerala, there are so many cultural plans and events lined up.
