Popular Malayalam Actor Kollam Sudhi Dies In Road Accident

In a heartbreaking incident, popular Malayalam television personality and mimicry artist, Kollam Sudhi passed away in a road accident. This happened after his car collided with a goods carrier vehicle at Kaipamangalam, a village near Thrissur. There were three other mimicry artists— Binu Adimalu, Mahesh and Ullas — with him who suffered injuries and are being treated at the hospital. Kollam Sudhi won hearts with his makeovers and fun banters with contestants on Star Magic and his impeccable mimicry of actor Jagadeesh.

Mimicry Artist & Actor Kollam Sudhi Passes Away In Devastating Car Accident

As per a report by India Today, 39-year-old Kollam Sudhi and the three other mimicry artists travelling with him, attended a programme in Vatakara. While they were returning from Vatakara, the tragic accident happened at around 4:30 am at Kaipamangalam in Kerala on Monday. Kollam Sudhi, unfortunately, suffered from a head injury. He was taken to a hospital in Kodungallur.

But the beloved TV personality breathed his last and succumbed to the injuries. The other three mimicry artists, Binu Adimalu, Mahesh and Ullas, are being treated at a hospital in Kodungallur. Kollam Sudhi known for his comic timing, wit and great mimicking abilities debuted in 2015 in the Malayalam movie, Kanthari.

Kerala Mourns His Death

Apart from being a household name in the Malayalam TV industry, he has also acted in many movies like Kuttanadan Marppappa and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. But his glory to fame happened after he appeared on TV shows. His death is mourned by the entire state of Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his condolences to Kollam Sudhi’s family.

Celebrities from the Malayalam film and TV industry, are expressing their condolences on social media, as the devastating news broke out. Actor Swasika stated to 24 News that she spoke to Kollam Sudhi, the night before. She adds that they’d done many shows together. Swasika described him as an innocent man who made everyone laugh. Calling him a loving husband, who had a wonderful relationship with his wife, Renu, Swasika mourns his death and is worried about his family.
