History has played an important part in this world as it is associated with values, teachings, and also evolution. History is something to be preserved and cherished. To know and understand Jain philosophy and heritage, a new museum has opened up in Pune. Maharashtra’s Abhay Prabhavana, a 3.5 lakh sq ft museum, offers extensive knowledge about Jain philosophy and Indian heritage, constructed over a decade ago at a cost of ₹400 crore.

The Opening Of Abhay Prabhavana Museum In Pune

As reported by The Indian Express, the chairman of the Amar Prerana Trust, Abhay Firodia, has opened this museum and knowledge centre to promote the values of Jainism and the Indian civilisational character. The museum aims to promote the 3Es: education, enterprise, and ethics. These are integral to a fulfilling life and spiritual elevation. On Abhay Firodia’s 80th birthday, the museum opened.

At the opening of Abhay Prabhavana, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Maneka Gandhi, Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh, Anna Hazare, Justice Dalveer Bhandari, and DR Mehta, founder of BMVSS, convened in Parwadi, Maval. Padma Shri Gurudevshri Rakeshji, Padma Shri Acharya Chandana Ji Maharaj, and His Holiness Siling Tongkhor Rinpoche, who was representing His Holiness the Dalai Lama, offered spiritual blessings.

As politicians and socio-economic reformers contemplate for millennia, Abhay Prabhavana, a contemporary display of Jain values, is thought to influence generations to come.

One of the museum’s main attractions is the statue of Rishabhdev, which honours the first Tirthankar. Covered in murals, the 30.5-meter marble tower emphasises soul-empowering techniques. A calm area for spiritual peace can be found at the Plaza of Equanimity.

Asi (tools and weaponry), Masi (ink and communication), Kasi (agricultural and animal husbandry), and Kshama (seeking and offering forgiveness) are among the ten values of Indian civilisation that are portrayed via Jainism and are intended to inspire people to connect with them.
