Saudi Restaurant Preparing Samosas In Toilets For 30 Years Makes Foodies Furious

Can you imagine the horror of eating snacks cooked out of the toilet instead of in the kitchen? Well, this nightmare did come true for the customers of this eatery in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah. According to the local media, the restaurant was shut down after it was found to be serving snacks and samosas to its customers prepared inside their toilets. This horrendous ‘food culture’ was continuing at this eatery for the past 30 years. According to the report, the restaurant also used expired food articles like meat and cheese, some of which dated back to two years.

Restaurant Workers Prepared Samosas In Toilets

The workers from the restaurant had no health cards and were clearly violating the residency laws.  The Jeddah municipality has been actively raiding and shutting down such unhygienic and illegal eateries.  This isn’t the first time that a restaurant has been shut down following unhygienic conditions.

In a similar instance in Jeddah, a well-known Shawarma food spot closed down in January after rodents were spotted feeding on their food items inside the restaurant. The video of the rat went viral on social media, demanding immediate action from the authorities. According to a media report, authorities had shut the restaurant immediately, following the social media uproar.
