Sheikh Hamdan Announces Dubai’s New Metaverse Strategy with 40,000 Virtual Jobs

The Dubai Metaverse Strategy was introduced on July 18 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan,Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council launched the Dubai Metaverse Strategy previously. The initiative targets to provide 40,000 virtual jobs. By 2030, the initiative hopes to increase the metaverse sector’s economic contribution to the Emirate to $4 billion.

Sheikh Hamdan confirmed the beginning of the Dubai Metaverse Assembly. It’s a world gathering of domestic and multilateral specialists in Dubai to examine the potential and possible uses of the metaverse.

The Dubai Metaverse Assembly will examine how the breakthrough tech could well be implemented across crucial industries. This can further improve the economy and life quality for mankind. It will take place on September 28 and 29 at the Museum of the Future and Emirates Towers. More than 300 international professionals, policymakers, great thinkers, and decision-makers from over 40 institutions will attend the gathering.

How Sheikh Hamdan’s Metaverse Strategy Will Help Capitalize?

The Dubai government established a special task group previously this year. This would monitor the most recent advancements in digitalization as it seeks the chances to capitalise in the metaverse. Dubai wants to be a major player in the virtual world, so it’s working on a regulatory and legislative framework.

Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Minister of Finance, granted the instructions to form the task group. At the time, Sheikh Hamdan had stated that the panel had begun work on the key principles and goals of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy.
