Sheikh Mohammed Renames Al Minhad District; Welcome Hind City

After the Al Safa metro renaming ceremony, another district undergoes the same. Al Minhad district of Dubai would no longer be called by its names. The Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed ordered a name change recently. Welcome, Hind City, the new name given to the Al Minhad district of the Emirates.

Al Minhad Will Now Be Called Hind City

His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid announced the renaming of Al Minhad to Hind City on Sunday. Al Minhad and its neighbouring territories have been renamed “Hind City” in accordance with orders from the ruler of Dubai.

The city’s four zones are connected by significant roadways such as Emirates Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road, and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road. The city covers an area of 83.9km and has four zones: Hind 1, Hind 2, Hind 3, and Hind 4. Additionally, there are homes for Emirati residents in the city.

A Metro Station In Dubai Was Renamed Recently

The Al Safa metro station in Dubai recently went underwent renaming. The earlier-known Al Safa Metro station is now called ONPASSIVE. The station took this new name in the second week of January 2023. ONPASSIVE is basically an AI Company and now owns the branding rights of the Metro station in Dubai, The AI Company partnered with Dubai Road and Transport Authority which will last for 10 years.

The name change initiative was launched in 2009 by Dubai RTA. This initiative supervises tentative name changes of metro lines. The new names are generally given based on the location or the sponsor.

The renaming was announced by a tweet. The name change will occur between January and March 2023. The name change will occur between January and March 2023, the RTA added in a tweet.

Onboard voice announcements, public transportation apps, and smart systems will all be updated to reflect the new name. Riders of the Metro were urged by the RTA to be aware of the station’s new name. They were advised to seek assistance from any of the staff members at any of the stations if they have any questions.
